Pincher Creek is a smallish town of about 3600 people, in a unique setting bordering mountain and prairie landscapes in Southern Alberta. It's the town that never grows; although you think it would (must be the 100 k winds).
About The Luthier
My name is Gerald Erickson and I'm a guitar maker in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada. I've had the pleasure of making custom guitars for people from various walks of life over the past 10 years, all with the same basic principal of creating an instrument to be enjoyed. My hope is to continue making guitars at a pace that I can enjoy too; my shop is not high production and my focus is one instrument at a time.
Woodworking has been a part of my life since as long as I can remember, my interest in learning to play guitar came later as a young adult. Putting the two together came naturally as my curiosity of the guitars inner workings came to light. The timing was right and I was able to attend practical Steel String and Classical guitar making at Timeless Instruments under master luthier David Freeman. I then came to know what made a guitar great and something special to own.
My goal is just to keep enjoying this craft and meet some good people along the way. If you see something you like or if you're interested in a custom steel string or classical guitar please contact me.
